Yoga for Sensitive Souls is a very special class to me. From the beginning of this wild and crazy journey, yoga has been there for me but starting was a major endeavour.
I wasn't comfortable in class settings, not connected to my body or myself and terrified to breathe. This was way before the terms "anxiety", "empath" or "self-care" were common language. Life was hard at that time. Since first experiencing the healing effects of yoga which soon lead me to pursue dance, and subsequently overhaul my life completely, I have felt strong empathy for others like me and an unquenchable desire to offer yoga in a way that would get through to those living as I was took root. Who feels only half alive out there? That's how I felt.
I wonder what would have happened if I never plucked up the courage to take that beginner class at Ki Essentials all those years ago (anyone remember that place?) So this is for the anxious, the uncomfortable, the anti-athletic, the weary, the terrified. Come and sit. I got you 💜
